I just bought Wall-E just because I had some extra money on my Circuit City gift cards and I heard it was the best animated film ever. I really didn't think so. I still like Finding Nemo and Toy Story the best overall. I thought the animation was the best as Pixar movies continue to get better with each movie but I just didn't like the story line as good. Overall, I give it a 2.5 out of 5.

It's the best reviewed film of the year and worth far more than a 2.5/5. It's definitely better than Nemo and Toy Story, and best animated film ever? If not there then close. I'm guessing we have another ADD viewer on our hands....
ADD viewer? I don't know where you get that. I'm comparing it with the other films nominated for best picture. I know that it had some Best picture buzz early on but that faded. I did enjoy it, I just liked the story lines in Nemo and Toy Story better. I thought it was beautfully made and easily the best looking animated film ever.
Wall-E equals simplicity at its finest. A beautifully made movie, a simple but interesting storyline and a clumsy robot, all packaged into an hour and a half. It's a completely unique movie -- not needing dialogue in cartoon -- and is perfectly directed.
Wall-E OVER THE READER FOR BEST PIC NOM!!!
I haven't seen The Reader yet but I think The Dark Knight should be in over The Reader and Wall-E.
Mike, I'm sort of feeling you on Wall-E. It was good, the story line was interesting, the animation was AMAZING ... but it just didn't quite do it for me. Not to say I didn't cry when I thought he had lost his memory. DEF DID. But I agree that there have been better animated films in years past. Also, I thought that the message was anything but simple, or subtly stated. It sort of annoyed me how overdone and over exaggerated the whole issue of human waste was portrayed. I get it. We are wasteful. Now stop with all the fatties in their chairs. Good film, glad I saw it -- probably won't be purchasing it.
