Gone Baby Gone

This movie was a tough one for me to rate. It seemed to start off slow and end about an hour before it actually did. I really liked how the movie left a choice for me at the end and it lingered on for several minutes.



I rate it a 2.5/5

American Gangster

For some reason, I really like movies that are "based on a true story." I like watching the movie, and then going online and searching for them and reading all about the main character. If you like doing this too, American Gangster is a good start. This movie is very close to being true and there are plenty of interviews online from the stars of the movie and the actual characters. I think there were just too many good movies out this year for this to be nominated for best picture but I think it should gotten the nod over Atonement. Although that would have been four epic movies and a comedy and I guess the Academy needed a love story to throw in there. Denzel Washington is great as always and Russel Crowe's character is slightly boring but Denzel definitely makes up for it.




Overall, I liked this movie better than "Into the Wild" and "Michael Clayton." I give this movie a 4 out of 5.

Into the Wild

I saw Into the Wild last night at the 1.50 movie theater on Blue Ridge. I liked it. It was two and a half hours so it dragged on a bit. Hal Holbrook who plays a friend of the main character in the movie was nominated for best supporting and I thought he was pretty good. Still not as good as Javier Bardem who won it. Death at a Funeral

I think I am going start rating movies now. I will rate movies on a scale of 1-5 5 being the best. For example I give "No Country for Old Men" and "There Will Be Blood" both 5s and "Vantage Point" a 0.5.


So Ashley and I just watched "Death at a Funeral" and I have to say, it was one of the funniest movies I've seen in awhile. It starts out kind of slow but it ends up being hilarious. I give this a 3.5. Here is the trailer. Go rent it.

Debate and stuff

So after the debate last night, I've realized that Hillary is in dire straits. She is really starting to blame a lot of things on Obama and its getting annoying. I'm really hoping that he can somehow keep it close in Ohio and possibly win Texas.

I still think this is hilarious.





I'm going to the FSU-State game tonight and I'm really not expecting very much. I really hate this team for some reason. I think it's because I had such high hopes for them and they keep letting me down. Oh well, theres always next season.
